Quilling is the art of rolled, shaped, and glued paper that results in creating a unified, decorative design. The name quilling is thought to come from the origin of the art; birds feathers, or quills, were used to coil the strips of paper around.
Quilling Card founder Huong Nguyen Wolf is a native of Vietnam. After years working towards someone elses dream, she decided to leave the industry and pursue her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the art of quilling. Daily business operations, sales, and design development take place in Framingham, Massachusetts. As a certified member of the Fair Trade Federation, Quilling Card has assembled three workshops in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where each design is meticulously handcrafted by one of the 300+ local artisans.

A dozen years ago, blacksmith Shawn Johnston collaborated with veteran smithy D.J. Stull to establish Winthrop Iron Works within the walls of Western Image on Winthrop's main street. Two years later, the Iron Horse brand emerged. D.J. has since retired and Shawn has passed away, but Carlton blacksmith Dan Russell carries on the tradition.
In 2020, we celebrate 10 years of bringing hand-forged iron and top-quality brands like Stetson, Filson, Outback Trading Company, Tilley, and Minnetonka Mocassins to the Methow.
